The Business Development Board of Martin County (BDB) is a 501(c)6 not-for-profit economic development corporation who provides confidential, complimentary services to owners, executives, entrepreneurs and their representatives as they seek to start-up, grow, remain and come to Martin County, Florida.
EDC is a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the economic vitality of our community through business attraction, retention and expansion in St. Lucie County.
To advance the general welfare and the prosperity of the Hobe Sound and the surrounding areas so that its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper. All necessary means of promotion shall be provided and particular attention and emphasis shall be given to the economic, civic, commercial, cultural, industrial and educational interests of the area.
Our Chamber began in 1915 as the Board of Trade. It was renamed in 1922 as the Chamber of Commerce. We have a long-standing legacy of community initiatives throughout our 100 year history, including adding the county Tourism and Economic Development organizations to our Chamber family. Today, our Chamber has over 700 members representing thousands of employees, entrepreneurs, and owners.
